Ethics policy

How our recommendations work

A public commitment to our users: how Lonevi generates recommendations, and what we explicitly do not do.

This document is a public promise. Any divergence between it and the actual product behavior is a bug, not an acceptable deviation. Report it to ethics@lonevi.example.

1. Free core, forever

Lonevi is an operating system for healthy longevity. Its free core is available to everyone — no subscription, no usage caps, no «premium features».

  • AI chat — ask any health question, as many times as you need
  • Medical record — keep and curate your full health history
  • Documents — upload labs, discharge notes, prescriptions in any format
  • Analyses — structured biomarker and trend breakdowns
  • Health Score — your aggregate health metric and how it moves over time

There is no «free version with limits» and «premium version without them». What we call core is the full feature set, available at no cost.

2. Monetization

At this stage Lonevi does not charge users — there is no paid surface, the core is entirely free. Possible commercial models are a question for the future, not a promise today; their details are kept in product strategy, not in this public document.

What we don't do

  • No ad banners — anywhere in the product
  • No «recommendation packages» sold by anyone
  • No dark patterns (fake discounts, fake countdowns, force-quit subscriptions)

3. How recommendations are generated

The separation between generating advice and any commerce is a product principle, not a marketing promise.

Step 1: AI generates the recommendation

Based only on your bio profile, peer-reviewed science, and your past recommendation history.

Step 2: Execution options

Under each recommendation we show ways to act on it. A recommendation is never tied to buying from a specific seller.

Step 3: You decide

Whether to act on a recommendation is up to you. It does not affect the quality of the free core.

4. Recommendation neutrality

Recommendations are neutral: they are not tied to any seller and do not depend on anyone's commercial gain. If commercial execution options appear in the future, there will be a mode to show only non-commercial ones.

The core stays fully functional with no payment — a baseline right, not a «premium».

5. What we never do

  • We don't sell your data to third parties — not raw, not aggregated, not anonymized. Period.
  • We don't show fake reviews or ratings.
  • We don't promise diagnoses or cures. Lonevi is not a doctor. Every page with medical content carries a disclaimer.
  • We don't use dark patterns in the UX.
  • We don't gate core features if you don't pay.
  • We don't recommend what's better for our margin if there's a better option for you.

6. Where to file complaints

Any situation where you believe we've broken this policy. A specific recommendation example, screenshot, or description.

Reply within 48 hours. If the complaint is valid — a public (in our repo) description of the incident and the fix within 7 days.

7. How this document changes

This document is public. All changes go through review, and the change history is preserved.

If we ever plan to introduce payment (charging for core, ads, prescription drugs) — we update this document BEFORE the product change, notify active users by email, and give a minimum 30 days before launch.
