Bemdaneprocel
bemdaneprocel
Frozen dopamine-neuron precursor cells made from human embryonic stem cells (formerly MSK-DA01), grafted into the putamen in Parkinson's disease. An open-label phase I trial in 12 patients (Tabar et al., Nature 2025) met its one-year safety and tolerability goal, with no adverse events related to the cell product; motor-score changes were exploratory and uncontrolled. A sham-controlled phase 3 trial (exPDite-2, NCT06944522) is recruiting. Not approved.
